You would need rabid pitbull supporters to get any kind of traction in this town. Small soccer stadiums in metro areas can work just take a look at the Portland Timbers. I just don't think there are enough soccer supporters willing to stand up for the team, unless it is to throw a frisbee at half-time. If there were an effort to put a small stadium downtown it would have my support but it would be an incredible uphill battle. Despite my negativity I agree that the Kickers are deserving of more support. Every year they strive to put a quality team on the pitch and usually succeed. Unfortunately with the start of DCU's season most weekends I will be making the trek up to see my first soccer love United.
